Vicente moves around town on his bike, watching the urban landscape modify day by day. The town is no longer the same, the world is changing and so is he. Among his family and friends, Vicente lives with anticipation the first days of summer and the beginning of a new life.

FISH LIKE US

As part of an unusual farewell ritual, two siblings end up at a Chinese restaurant. Both feel guilty after the recent death of their mother and find it difficult to broach the subject. At another table a father improves his daughter's homework, at the next a date goes wrong, and somewhere in between, the server's collar bursts. Though the tables are close together, the siblings hardly notice the little dramas taking place.

HERE AND THERE

Aquí y allá is a film around the meaning of home and belonging. The filmmaker uses photographs, maps and Google Earth to connect places around the globe; not just from her own past, but also from the complex migratory history of her family that stretches back to Hitler-era Germany and Mao's China. Reality and the virtual prove equally confusing: however much you zoom in, you never get closer to home.

HISTORIES OF WOLVES

“Histories of Wolves” is a collection of stories about wolves in the northern mountains of Portugal. Among the rocky ranges, there is a village called Pitões das Junias. At nightfall, shepherds gather and tell stories. Myths, legends, stories of death, are told. These tales of werewolves and humans are as alive now as they were centuries ago.

We ended up in a closed school as photographers and tried to capture not only the faces of the guys, but also what was happening in the background. The film was created from fragments of phrases, observations and faces.

Stories told along the river: a woman reunites with her ex-lover at a hydroelectric plant; meanwhile, a young man travels downstream to a temple in search of a cure for his insomnia.
