2025: 10 years of
Winter Apricots
In 2025 Winter Apricots is celebrationg its 10th edition, an important milestone that projects us directly in our second decade, with plenty new ideas and motivation.
From December 10th till the 13th the city of Prilep will be stage for more than 50 short films, two very special concerts, book promotions and panels about cinema and films, a photographic exhibition and much more.
Divided into three competitive sections — International, Balkan, and National — the films will be seen not only by the audience, but also by a carefully selected international jury that will grant several awards: Best Film, Best Sound, Best Cinematography, and Best Concept in the International Selection, as well as Best Film in both the Balkan and the National Selections.
In addition, the festival is hosting a non competitive selection of Screendance films curated by Associazione Augenblick, an Italian cultural association co-organizer of the FuoriFormato festival in Genoa, becoming the first and only festival in the country showcasing and promoting this specific emerging genre.
The official opening ceremony of the festival wil inculde the concert of the renowed Muhamed Inrahimi, for the first time in Prilep. Muhamed Ibrahimi is a multi-instrumentalist, guitar and mandolin virtuoso from Skopje. His approach to these two instruments is quite authentic, unconventional, inspiring and intuitive. A specific blend of several musical styles awaits us, mixed with oriental ambience and Balkan folklore. In three words, we would describe his music as bold, elegant and unexpected.
